He is an expert gastroenterologist in advanced therapeutic endoscopy. Dr. Monserat is Past President of the Endoscopy Society in Venezuela and a gastroenterologist at the Caracas Medical Center. • Dr. Juan Carlos Gonzalez (Venezuela). He is the current President of the Endoscopy Society in Venezuela and is an expert in general and therapeutic endoscopy. Dr. Gonzalez works in the Department of Gastroenterology, Avila Clinic. • Dr. Sebastian Esteves (Argentina). He is a gastroenterologist working in endosonography and therapeutic endoscopy. During the course, outstanding talks were given on a variety of topics including diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. There was also a session of live clinical cases, in which international guest experts participated and explained their techniques in endoscopic procedures such as diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasonography, enteroscopy, and ERCP.
