The next WGO joint meeting will be held in partnership with the Czech Society of Gastroenterology and will take place from 9-11 December 2021 in Prague, Czech Republic.

The next World Congress of Gastroenterology will be held in partnership with the Emirates Gastroenterology and Hepatology Society, from 12-14 December 2022 in Dubai, UAE. More information will be made available soon.
The 2023 World Congress of Gastroenterology will be held in Seoul, Korea in partnership with The Korean Society of Gastroenterology from 15-19 November 2023.
The WCOG had historically been held every four years, starting with the first World Congress in Washington, DC, USA in 1958. In 2017 this was changed to every two years. View the congress history.
Applications to host a World Congress can only be considered from WGO member societies. Final ratification of the venue of a World Congress is made at the WGO General Assembly.
