The next World Congress of Gastroenterology will be held in partnership with the Emirates Gastroenterology and Hepatology Society (EGHS) from 12-14 December 2022 in Dubai, UAE.

The 2023 WCOG will be held in Seoul, Korea in partnership with The Korean Society of Gastroenterology from 15-19 November 2023.
The first World Congress was held in Washington, DC, USA in 1958, and had historically been held every four years until 2017, when it moved to a two-year cycle. View the congress history.

Please note that applications to host a World Congress can only be considered from WGO Member Societies. Selection of the venue of a World Congress is recommended by the WGO Governing Council, with final ratification made by the WGO General Assembly.
