Mengniu Danone Dairy - WDHD 2016 – Online Survey

Event Description:
Mengniu Danone Dairy initiated an online survey on public health partnering with People.com and the Institute of Health Research of Tsinghua University. Having sampled nearly 0.3 million people, the survey has had by far the broadest coverage of Chinese people in regards to the topic of digestive health.

Mengniu Danone Dairy - 2016 World Digestive Health Day Summit

Event Description: Mengniu Danone Dairy hosted the 2016 World Digestive Health Day Summit in Beijing, China. Experts such as Mr. Ma Guansheng (vice president of Chinese Nutrition Society), Ms. Fan Zhihong (vice professor of China Agricultural University), Ms. Liu Meiju ( General Secretary of the China Dairy Association), Prof. Yang Yunsheng (Director of Digestive Disease Center, General Hospital of PLA), Dr. Baker ( VP of Christian D.A. Hansen) and Mr. Chen Shuangli (General Manager of Mengniu & Danone) were invited for interviewing prior to the summit. Over 40 mainstream media were invited to attend and the summit focused on topics such as “the general health background under modern lifestyle” and “live bacteria benefits digestive health” were further discussed by the experts.

“Our Diet on Gut Health” Awareness Campaign

This event will be jointly organized by Kalinga Gastroenterology Foundation, the Department of Gastroenterology, SCB Medical College and the Odisha State Chapter of ISG. The event would be an awareness campaign about implications of “Our Diet on Gut Health” for the physicians and general public. A public education program will be launched with release of educational brochures on “Effects of our Diet on Gut Health” in Odia [the regional language of Odisha], Hindi [the National language of India] and English. This will be accompanied by a Press Meet to create awareness on “Effects of our Diet on Gut Health”. Besides, a CME will be organized for postgraduate students, family physicians, internists, and gastroenterologists. In addition during the next 3 month, the CME program will be telecast to the peripheral doctors in different districts of the State.

The West Pomeranian Division of the Polish Society of Gastroenterology will be organizing an event on April 16, 2016 to celebrate World Digestive Health Day, titled "Diet and the Gut". This event will include state of the art lectures, covering dietary management topics in various diseases and will be delivered by the Faculty of Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. Special attention will be given to celiac disease, gastrointestinal and endocrine disorders, in addition to the effect of diet on gut microbiota. Key opinion leaders will take part in an open public debate discussing important problems related to the importance of diet in health and disease.
