The Chinese Society of Gastroenterology (CSG) will organize the national congress of digestive diseases (NCDD) in Chongqing City, China. The NCDD will open 3 plenary sessions and 30 symposiums hosted by its committees. The expected participants are over 4,000 of gastroenterologists, hepatologists, internal clinicians, pediatrists, integrated tcm-wm workers, microbiologists, pathologists, and bioinformationists.
The CSG has currently 20 committees, including the CSG committee of gut microbiota which is chaired by Prof. Yunsheng Yang who is the current president of CSG as well.
The CSG committee of gut microbiota will organize a symposium of gut microbiota on Nov. 1, 2014. The contents will cover trends of gut microbiota, intestinal microbiota in IBD, GI cancer and IBS, functional study of gut microbiota, FMT practice in China, Chinese attitudes to FMT and so on.

The West Pomeranian Division of Polish Society of Gastroenterology in collaboration with Polish Association of People on Gluten Free Diet and with Coeliac Disease, is holding an International Day of Gut Microbiota and Coeliac Disease on May 17, 2014. The event will include state of the art and up to date lectures on various diseases associated with coeliac disease and microbiota alterations. Key opinion leaders will deliver presentations and discuss important problems associated with coeliac disease and microbiome in relation to gastrointestinal, neurologic, skin, endocrine and immune systems. This event is open access and free of charge to the general public as well as health professionals. Dietary interventions aimed to modulate gut microbiota and manage coeliac disease as well as non gluten coeliac sensitivity will be discussed.
